29 Oct World Pneumonia Day 2010 – UK event
The All Party Parliamentary Group for Global Action Against Childhood Pneumonia is holding the UK event for World Pneumonia Day 2010 at the Houses of Parliament on November 16th.
Building on the successful inaugural event last year the APPG has invited Stephen O’Brien MP, Minister for International Development, Helen Evans, Acting CEO of GAVI, Dr. Kate O’Brien, Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University and Deputy Director of the International Vaccine Access Center and His Excellency Dr. Sayeedur Rahman Khan, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to speak at the event.
Key stakeholders including Government representatives, parliamentarians, High Commissioners and Ambassadors and representatives from leading NGOs, will look at the burden of pneumonia globally, the progress that has been made and what more can be done. Stay tuned here for more information.
