Liberia has made a bid for funding from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (Gavi) to roll out the pneumococcal vaccine against pneumonia next year. Two mothers, one from Monrovia, the other from Freeman Reserve, a two-hour drive from the capital, highlight the impact of pneumonia in the country.
