‘Nigeria, the only West African country without anti-pneumonia immunization’

Pastor Nonnie Roberson, a consultant with the Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Hospital who helped to organize the first World Pneumonia Day celebration on November 2 last year and participated in this year’s marking of the Day, says pneumonia is prevalent in Nigeria because it is the only country in West Africa that does not immunize children against the disease.
