The Haitian Pediatric Society has planned numerous events for World Pneumonia Day. These events were aimed at informing the Haitian community about the impact of pneumonia in children and the needs to access care immediately any time a child is coughing with fever and dyspnea.
Some of these activities include engaging the Ministry of Health, the pediatrician and the medical Associations to implement a secure access to treat pneumonia and to educate the medical students and the pediatrician on the impact of pneumonia in childhood mortality and the importance of good standardization of pneumonia treatment.
