About the events:

FUNCEI and FIDEC will mark World Pneumonia Day in Argentina by hosting activities aimed at health care professionals as well as members of the community from November 1^st to the 13^th. For health care professionals, the International Meeting on Internal Medicine will be held from November 1-4, 2011 featuring sessions on key topics on infectious disease, including rational use of antibiotics and updated vaccination. Furthermore,
FIDEC will dedicate the upcoming edition of its bimonthly Epidemiological Newsletter to World Pneumonia Day.

In the community, the Stamboulian Health Centers in Buenos Aires, in conjunction with the primary attention centers in the cities of
Pilar, Escobar, and Ezeiza will hold informative talks promoting pneumococcal vaccinations and publicizing World Pneumonia Day.

Media outlets such as the TV show “A Ciencia Cierta” will dedicate shows to World Pneumonia Day on November 9^th as well.
