Pneumonia is the second leading cause of child mortality in Zambia. But Episcopal Relief & Development, in partnership with the Zambian Anglican Council and the Zambian Ministry for Health and other stakeholders, are targeting the disease in an integrated way. Building on the successful bed net program, ERD’s efforts are helping to save lives while building local capacity that extends beyond just pneumonia.
